About

I grew up in a Christian home, always at church and singing of Jesus' love for me.  It would be 26 years before I really understood what that meant.

After graduating college, I married my high school sweetheart, Toby, moved from Auburn to Mobile to Knoxville.  I adore our daughter, Haley, and often choose blocks and dolls as my favorite past times.

Outside of mommyhood and housekeeping, I love to spend time on the water, lost in a book, cuddling with the hubbs and a movie, or simply window shopping.  I love cooking and have a bad habit of experimenting new recipes on guests.  I feel most alive when I'm lost in Jesus' presence and I will talk Jesus with anyone who will listen.

You will find that I often insert scripture passages in my posts.  I have done this for two reasons.  First, to help you in following my train of thought and for you to grow in knowledge.  Second, as a measure of accountability for me.  As I mentioned early on, I grew up offering my opinion other than scripture, because it's all I had.  I do not want to fall into that trap again, but rather always support my beliefs and understanding with the solid word of God.

My name really is Carey, but I have changed the names of my husband and daughter for their privacy.  I apologize for the confusion of those who know us personally.  Everyone else mentioned specifically is referenced by their real name.  If you find yourself on here and would prefer to remain anonymous, please let me know and I will be happy to oblige.

As I love to share my Jesus stories, I would be honored and encouraged to hear yours.  Please feel free to post a comment or send me an email.  Also, if anything I write is ever confusing, please ask...I am happy to clarify or elaborate.  My desire in this blog is for you to be encouraged by my Jesus stories and see how He is alive and moving in our world today.  Everything He does is for His glory.  May we always see His hand and praise Him name!
